Marking Sheet

Machinima Documentary Video

This video shows the starting point of the level from the hill top overseeing the bottom showing the oil mining facilities and petrol stations along with all the oil barrels around which follows my pachube feed. It goes through all the areas that relate to the pachube feed and the "Pure War" concept that I related to the Movie "Transformers"

Week 05 - Independant Study

The Paul Virilio's concept of "Pure War" and the Pachube Feed I chose were combined to to make this video. The pachube feed I chose was on the war on petrol prices in England.

The SketchUp Model I made is my version of the "Allspark" from Transformers which was an element for the war between the two sides in the movie. It represents a more physical form version of the petrol that everyone is fighting for, a resource that everyone wants. I placed the Allspark Cube in the centre of the level, on top of a tower of oil barrels which represents the resource that everyone put on a pedal stool.
The model links the concept, feed and physical representation well I believe it portrays the same view and image of how everyone fights for a valuable resource and their mind-set value of the resource becomes so most wanted it becomes an overall fight for it.
I also chose the map Quarry to resemble more and represent the oiling and resource element to the concept

Week 02 - Independent Study

For Paul Virilio's concept of "Pure War" I tried to follow my pachube feed of the war against petrol prices which I thought of vehicles and reminded me of the war in "Transformers" and their fight for the All Spark (which I made my own version of). In a way, it relates to the fight over petrol in today's society.

EXPERIMENT 01 - WEEK 01 INDEPENDENT STUDY

http://pachube.com/feeds/23399
For this exercise I chose a live feed that relates to "Pure War" which is titled " Prince Edward Island Approved Minimum and Maximum Prices for Petroleum".
This refers to the war on petrol prices on Prince Edward Island, and shows all the prices live.

This feed is still an unofficial feed but states the petrol prices for each type of petrol and service including their minimum and maximum prices. This is a very handy and interesting feed which if used globally and worked live, it can help monitor and help consumers with their petrol budgets.
